Global IT Policy
The information technology marketplace is a global marketplace. Many U.S. IT companies realize 50 percent or more of their revenues from overseas markets. And many of the information technology products on which these firms depend, like semiconductors, integrated circuit boards, and plasma displays, are assembled offshore. In addition, numerous international and intergovernmental organizations address public policy issues that may affect US companies’ interests and their ability to maintain and grow their global presence. ITAA works with U.S. Government and in these international organizations to express the views and interests of the IT industry in such deliberations.
