Intellectual Property
Intellectual property is the rocket fuel of the IT world. Without it, literally (and figuratively) nothing would compute. While IT makes intellectual property like music, videos and graphics easy to share, this content often comes with copyright strings attached. No IT vendor should actively encourage technology users to violate copyright, either by contributing to it or profiting from it. At the same time, however, the controls placed on how a particular technology handles content run the very real risk of stifling innovation, market development and job growth. The digital age demands balanced approaches decided by the conduct and behavior of individuals, not the capabilities of various technology devices.
