Without disciplined, purposeful action now, the nation's high tech future, and therefore its economic future, is at risk. To remain globally competitive, America must double the number of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) graduates over the next ten years, according to a new white paper by ITAA's Workforce Committee released in October. The paper outlines a public policy strategy to bring the number of STEM graduates from approximately 430,000 to 860,000 by 2015.
