Consumer Driven Medical Plans
Consumer-driven health plans can help your business address the rising cost of health care by:

Consumer-driven plans can include one of the following types of accounts to help individuals manage their health care expenses:

– UnitedHealthcare DefinitySM Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

Customer Care Claims Support
As an AeAHealth participant, you can count on UnitedHealthcare to deliver high quality service for account questions or concerns. The average speed to answer calls is 22 seconds; 27% better than the industry average. State of the art operations and dedicated resources enable UnitedHealthcare to offer a 92% first call resolution for the 90,000 calls that Customer Care professionals receive each day.
More than 80% of over one billion claims are processed annually by UnitedHealthcare without manual intervention. An integrated and user-friendly desktop allows less research time and reduced manual intervention by Customer Care. Also, real-time adjudication allows the participant to receive a printed detail of the claim, benefit and financial responsibility before even leaving the doctor’s office.
Also, there is a dedicated UnitedHealthcare Claims representative available to research and resolve issues with TechAmerica member claims.

Health Discount Program through UniteHealth AlliesSM
This discount program can help you save 10-50 percent on many health care services that are not covered by your medical plan. Your UnitedHealth Allies
Section 125 Pre-Tax Premium Plans
This plan lets your employees pay their portion of premiums for employer sponsored insurance such as health, dental, vision, disability, accident and group life (to $50,000) on a pre-tax basis. Pre-tax premium payments reduce:
- Employees’ gross pay;
- Employer taxable payroll;
- Corporate payroll-related taxes.
Plus, for most employers, the plan fee is deductible as a normal business expense. A Pre-Tax Premium Plan can save money for all companies of all sizes. The amount saved depends on how much employees contribute toward their benefits.
Post Employment Solutions
Almost all group health plans of private and public employers must comply with the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA). UnitedHealthcare helps employers through the strict and complex federal mandates that require employers to offer continued health care coverage to employees and their dependents who would otherwise lose their coverage due to termination of employment or other factors
